The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre of New Plymouth is the first affiliated Sivananda Centre in New Zealand.

We are part of an international yoga organisation that has ashrams and centres in many countries throughout the world.

Located in Westown, New Plymouth, the centre is light and spacious, an ideal peaceful setting for yoga practice.

Our goal is to share the classical teachings of yoga as taught by our Gurus Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnu Devananda.

 

Any Graduates of the yoga teachers training course, please contact us. We would love to hear from you and all visits are welcome. We also offer a karma yoga program.

Beginer Courses will be running each month.

Registration is required prior to the start of each month.

Yoga 1 - A step by step introduction in the basics of yoga, following the five points designed by Swami Vishnu-Devananda. This is a 4 week course meeting twice a week.

Yoga 2 - Develop and perfect the technques learned in yoga 1 with variations and more indepth theroy. This is also a 4 week course meeting twice a week.

Vegetation Cooking Workshop...

October 30th:
Pranayama...
Learning how to harness your energy and mind through breath control.

November 27th:
Bhakti Yoga...
Sanskrit and mantras tools for opening the heart.
